Members Annual Exhibiton
28/10/19Our Annual Exhibition is an ideal opportunity to view the beautiful and creative work that our talented members produce and many will be available to purchase during the exhibition. The Exhibition is held at The Twyn Community Centre , Caerphilly, from Monday 28th Oct to Saturday 3rd Nov. 10am-3pm. Visitors are encouraged to vote for their favourite artwork for the 'Visitors Choice Award' . We do request that if possible, any paintings purchased are collected on the last day of the exhibition, so they can be viewed and enjoyed by everyone throughout the exhibition.
Information for Members:
Artwork for inclusion in our 2019 Annual Exhibition to be dropped off at the Twyn Centre Sunday Oct 27th at 6:30pm. Submission forms should be returned to Julie by 22nd October.
The exhibition will run from Monday 28th Oct to Sat. 2nd November. 10am to 3pm . Official opening Tuesday evening 29th Oct at 7:30pm. Members are welcome bring along a guest.
Presentation of Work
The max dimensions of work for display on the panels should not exceed 24" in any direction. Larger items will be displayed on the wall with chains therefore open hooks are required to be fitted prior to submission. We are unable to fix hooks on large metal frames, and these will be rejected. The exhibition committee reserves the right to refuse work deemed to be hazardous, inappropriate or still wet. Please place a label on the reverse of your work with Name, Address and contact number, the medium used and price is available to purchase, and also complete the green display labels provided by Julie and bring with your work.
Original Artwork only no prints allowed.
Please ensure artworks abide by the guides for hanging and are safe for inclusion, we may use discretion for any unsuitable works. Please also clearly identify on your forms your competition entry for this years theme 'Still Life' Hanging fees to be paid when you drop of work, please ensure you have the right monies .
Members are reminded that if they wish to hang paintings they must commit to Rota Duty. The rota will be 10am - 2:30pm or 12:30pm to 3pm, two members to be present at all times. Please advise Meryl of your availability.
Collection of work by Members is strictly at 3pm, please note we have no storage facilities for work not collected at that time, the committee will do their utmost to safeguard entries but works are left at owners' risk.
Remember we meet every First and Last Tuesday of the month, so occasionally it will mean a 3 week break.
