Thank you Mike Guilfoye the fantastic demonstration last night, we thoroughly enjoyed your talk learning more about your background creating those wonderful coin designs. Even though time was very limited it was great to see your process for Lino cutting and printing, a very informative and enjoyable evening!

October 2025 - Paint Along with DJ

We had a fantastic session last night with the very talented DJ painting sunsets in oils. Our members had fun following along and produced some fabulous paintings in such a short time and we learnt a lot. Many who had never tried oils before and will definitely be using them again. Thank you DJ, we really look forward to the next time.

Thank you Pat for a very enjoyable and informative evening at last nights meeting, showing us the versatility of special effect brushes and sponges for painting foliage , our members really enjoyed being able to try the brushes themselves during the session too.

Thank you Andrew for a great workshop this evening, it was great to experiment with alternative approaches to painting with acrylics using sponges, card, twigs and many other implements other than brushes . Our members thoroughly enjoyed and produced some lovely paintings.

March 2024 - Demonstration with Oriane Pierrepoint

Our members were truly captivated with last nights demonstration with the extremely talented @orianepierrepoint. Oriane demonstrated the process in laying down the initial block in of tones using Pan Pastels on toned grey paper and in doing so showed us the process she used for her recent stunning portrait of Tracy showing at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters. She imparted lots of additional information, tips and advice regarding portrait drawing.
